About
After holding three internship positions in college and meeting countless professionals along the way, I noticed a big problem: people aren’t doing what they are called to do. This means every day, millions of people are waking up, driving to work, and going to jobs they don’t find fulfilling. They are forcing themselves to perform work that is cutting them down instead of building up, and are damaging their personal and professional lives in the process. It quickly dawned on me that in order to avoid the same fate, I needed to act differently. In January of 2011, thanks to Dan Miller’s book 48 Days to the Work You Love, I decided to take a 48 day journey to determine God’s calling for my life. After countless hours of soul-searching and reflection, I came up with this:
I am called to communicate life-changing ideas in a simple way.
In a more practical application, I want to use my God-given abilities of speaking, writing, and teaching to glorify Him in everything I do.
The purpose of this website is to track my journey to vocational freedom. It’s a sounding board of life experiences that will provide encouragement, insight, and lessons I learn along the way. Each of us is on a journey to discover our vocational calling, and I hope you find this website to be a useful guide!
